Credibility evaluation cards for primary school students

Whose message is the most credible? Primary school students can think about this when they are evaluating animal-themed messages. How much expertise does the author of the message have about dogs’ diet or cats’ need for vitamins? And how well can the authors prove their claims?

The material has two sets of cards, and both sets have three short messages. Because the messages are short and presented side by side, it is easy for the students to compare them. The students give stars for the author’s expertise, intentions, and evidence. More important than the stars themselves are the discussions about the reasoning behind the number of stars the students choose to give.
